Lower Meramec Wastewater Treatment PlantFor many years, we have enjoyed a close relationship with Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. We constructed the new Lower Meramec Wastewater Treatment Plant to update the district's existing system and to accommodate future consolidation of all existing plants along the Meramec River.Details include: • 530,000 cubic yards of mass excavations • Process Building and Secondary Treatment Buildings • Structures set on 70,000 lineal feet of H-Piling • Cast-in-place concrete Pipe Gallery measuring 30 feet wide by 1,000 feet long • 45,000 cubic yards of reinforced structural concrete • 5,400 tons of reinforcing steel and over 1,200 tons of structural steel -both fabricated during the worst steel crisis in history • Architectural brick, glass and structural steel exteriors • Over 500,000 manhours worked |
